Earthquake in Turkey Felt in Armavir and Ararat Regions with Magnitude of 4, while Yerevan Experienced 3-4 Magnitude

On August 12, at 03:29 local time (23:29 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake at geographical coordinates 39.86° N latitude and 44.16° E longitude, located 12 km southeast of Igdir city, Turkey, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 4.2. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area was recorded as 5-6 magnitude.
