VIDEO: Belarusian Presidential Opposition Candidate Leaves Country

As we have previously reported, Belarusian presidential opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya has left the country. She has traveled to Lithuania to be with her children.

“I made a very difficult decision in my life. I thought that all this had made me stronger, but no, I am the same vulnerable woman. No one’s life is worth what is happening now. Children are the most important thing in life,” she said.

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius also commented on Twitter, stating, “Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is safe. She is in Lithuania.”
