Turkey to Increase Gas Volumes from Azerbaijan in Coming Years, Says Cavusoglu

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu highlighted the country's strategic projects with Azerbaijan during a press conference following his meeting with Jeyhun Bayramov. He announced that Turkey plans to increase the volume of gas imported from Azerbaijan in the coming years. This was reported by takvim.com.tr.

“Turkey and Azerbaijan have numerous joint strategic projects spanning from the Caucasus to the Far East and London. Examples of such remarkable projects include the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline, and more. Currently, there are two additional projects in the South Caucasus, which are crucial for implementation. One is the Kars-Nakhchivan railway, and the other is the Turkey-Nakhchivan gas pipeline,” said the Turkish foreign minister.

Azerbaijan is already the leading supplier of gas to Turkey, and Cavusoglu added, “In the coming years, we will increase the volumes of gas imported from Azerbaijan.”
