3.2 Km Road to be Renovated, Including Bridge Access Route - Muradyan Responds to Marukyan

The spokesperson for the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Armine Muradyan, stated on her Facebook page.

“Dear Mr. Marukyan,

In response to your post regarding the request directed to Minister Papikyan, I would like to inform you that the renovation of the road leading to the Khndzoresk Bridge is already included in the Local Economy and Infrastructure Development Program. The 'Restoration Program for the Road to Khndzoresk' is currently in the approval phase by the World Bank, and a tender will be announced in the upcoming two months to be implemented by the Territorial Development Foundation of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the RA Tourism Committee.

The renovation will cover a 3.2 km stretch of road, which also includes the access route to the swinging bridge. Additionally, in response to your previous suggestion, I would like to note that the road from the Armenian Alphabet Monument to Amberd will also be renovated, as it is included in the 2022 program.

More than 40-year-old roads across the republic that have not been renovated are currently being revived. All roads in Armenia are under constant monitoring by both the minister and the sectoral responsible officials of the ministry, and they will be included in renovation programs according to priority as soon as possible.

Thank you for your suggestions. You will receive official responses to your requests in due course and time as per the established procedures.”
