VIDEO. "Unacceptable Violation at Amulsar" – Ecolobial Front

The Armenian Environmental Front reports: "The new security service hired by 'Lydian' has removed the makeshift shelters of the Amulsar guardians and replaced them with their own. This is an unacceptable violation of the right to peaceful resistance. Especially considering that, according to official police data, those shelters were not located on private company land.

Now, mobilization from all over Armenia is necessary. We urgently ask you to come to the vicinity of the II resistance point at Amulsar near the village of Gndevaz. Our presence can literally save lives. Thanks to peaceful, non-violent struggle, this issue must finally have a positive resolution. We must prevent any possibility of violence. This is a decisive moment.

We also call on those in Yerevan to go to the government, the Ministry of Environment, and the National Assembly buildings and demand that they do not sit idly by. Lawmakers must be there today and protect the safety of citizens. The environmental permit held by ‘Lydian’ should finally be declared invalid based on the numerous blatant facts established over at least the last three years. Amulsar will remain a mountain. There is no alternative."
