Video: Ukrainian TV Host Beaten and Attempted to Be Raped in Front of Her Son

A Ukrainian television host, Anastasia Lugovaya, was beaten and attempted to be raped on a train traveling from Mariupol to Kyiv in front of her son. The host recounts on her Facebook page that a man entered her train compartment in his underwear at night and began to hit her. Lugovaya started to scream, waking up her small son, who also began to cry. The man attempted to hit the child, but Anastasia stopped him by saying she was willing to fulfill any of his demands.

In response, the man attempted to rape her. At that moment, Lugovaya convinced the attacker to leave the room so her son wouldn't witness anything. The man agreed and took the host to his compartment. However, the child continued to cry loudly. Taking advantage of this, the host left the assailant's compartment under the pretext of calming her son and hid with him in a neighboring carriage.

Ultimately, the perpetrator was arrested, and the train's conductor ordered to keep an eye on him to prevent his escape. It was also reported that the host's husband claimed that the train crew offered money to his wife in exchange for her silence about the incident.
