VIDEO: 58-Year-Old Man Strangles and Decapitates Sister, Police Reveal
On August 1st, around 6 PM, community police officers from the Erebuni division noticed a man exhibiting suspicious behavior on Khorenatsi Street, carrying a polyethylene bag. They approached the man and discovered that the bag contained a woman's head. The community police took him into custody.
At the police station, it was revealed that the 58-year-old man had decapitated his 68-year-old sister in one of the homes on 11th Street of Nor Aresh. Following the clarification of the incident, operational-investigative groups and forensic experts were dispatched to the scene. In the bedroom of the house, authorities discovered the body of the deceased woman. A bloody knife, which according to preliminary information was the murder weapon, was also found in the house. It has been confiscated and sent for examination.
A criminal case has been initiated by the territorial investigative department regarding the incident. Based on operational and investigative measures, it was determined that a domestic dispute over household matters had erupted between the brother and sister, during which the man first strangled the woman with a rope and then decapitated her.
The 58-year-old man has been arrested. The preliminary investigation into the opened criminal case is ongoing.
