Video: Blogger Alexey Romanov Arrested in Khabarovsk

Blogger Alexey Romanov has been arrested in Khabarovsk. The reason for his arrest is that he broadcasted and covered the protests that erupted following the arrest of Governor Sergey Furgal on his YouTube channel during a live stream. He announced this on his Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that at the time of the arrest, the blogger was wearing a white shirt with an inscription saying "With Spirit." Romanov is being charged under an administrative article for violating the rules of conducting public events, reported his lawyer Vitaly Tuhtan.

He noted that although the reason for the arrest was participation in and coverage of an unauthorized rally, law enforcement officers appeared to be friendly yet resolute. "The police’s attitude is polite. This does not, of course, eliminate the wildness of the situation. And yes, they arrested me near an apartment whose address I have not given to anyone," the blogger stated.
