Video: Neighbors' Conflict in Ararat Village Ends in Gunfire, One Detained
On July 27, a report was received by the Artashat police stating that shots had been fired in the village of Aravshat. The operational group, which responded swiftly to the alarm, conducted reconnaissance activities on the spot and clarified that the neighbors had been arguing.
Preliminary information indicates that one neighbor's cow had entered another's property and damaged the crops, which became the cause of the dispute. During the clarification process, one of the participants took an illegal rifle from his home and fired shots.
A 46-year-old man was located and taken into custody by the Artashat police. The factory-numbered rifle belonging to his deceased grandfather was also found and has been sent for examination. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
