Video: Yarkhushta Dance at the Military Commissariat Yard as New Recruits Celebrate
Friends bid farewell to the recruits of the Armenian army with songs and dances, promising to welcome them just as joyously.
At the Armavir military commissariat, new recruits are being sent off with dance. Today, not only relatives but also friends gathered to bid farewell to two young men from the Aygeshat community who are being drafted into the army. Among them were members of the “Surmalu” ethnic dance ensemble. They decided to send their friends off with joyful hearts to the victorious army of Armenia, vowing to welcome them back with the same cheer.
In the yard of the military commissariat, the young men performed the military Yarkhushta dance, joined by one of the recruits, Arman Hambardzumyan.
The video was posted on the Facebook page of Hrayr Surmaletsi (Hrayr Ghazaryan), who is also the leader of the “Surmalu” ethnic dance ensemble. He wrote alongside the video, “This is the spirit with which they send off the Armenian army,” wishing the young men a good service.
