Nine New Cases of Covid-19 Confirmed in Artsakh, Total Infections Reach 212
As of July 26, Covid-19 has been confirmed in 212 citizens in Artsakh, of which 149 have recovered, according to the Artsakh Ministry of Health.
A total of 4,691 tests have been conducted in the region. Nine new cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed. Six of the infected individuals are from the Aygestan community in the Askeran region, where entry and exit restrictions have been implemented by the authority's decision.
One case has been confirmed in a resident of Martuni city through a PCR test conducted at a checkpoint. This citizen had returned from Armenia, was self-isolated, and from today, is in quarantine.
One case has also been confirmed among contacts from outbreaks in Stepanakert and Martakert.
A 90-year-old woman has died after being confirmed with the coronavirus; however, her death was caused by another illness. There are currently 76 individuals in isolation and 43 patients receiving actual treatment. Over the last 24 hours, one person has recovered.
No deaths due to the coronavirus have been reported in the country. The health condition of five infected citizens is assessed as severe, while ten others are in moderate condition.
The state of emergency declared in the Republic of Artsakh on April 12, 2020, has been extended for 32 days until 22:00 on August 12, 2020.
