37 Residents of Shirak Region Being Treated for Covid-19 at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital
As of July 26, 37 residents of the Shirak region are being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, according to reports from the Shirak regional administration.
Since March 1, a total of 7,178 samples have been taken in healthcare facilities in the Shirak region and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 25, 5,824 samples were tested in Gyumri alone, with 5 new cases of coronavirus confirmed on July 25.
Currently, 956 citizens are under home self-isolation, with positive diagnoses reported for 279 of them, indicating asymptomatic cases. Monitoring is conducted by primary healthcare services.
A total of 445 residents of the Shirak region have recovered from the coronavirus and been released from the hospital. 49 patients have been transferred to the capital, and 35 deaths have been recorded.
