Armenian Ministry of Defense Plans Military Exercises from September 15 to December 15

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia is set to announce military exercises for reserve personnel registered under the first category of the first group from September 15 to December 15. This proposal has been submitted for discussion on the unified platform for the publication of legal acts.

According to the Ministry of Defense, these military exercises aim to enhance the military skills, provide professional training and preparation, and prepare reserve officers from the subordinate ranks with higher education.

A total of 786 citizens will participate in the exercises, including 524 from the ranks, 82 from subordinate ranks, and 180 reserve officers.

“Taking into account the fact that in recent years the Armenian Armed Forces have been reinforced with new weaponry and military equipment, there is a necessity to improve the quality of professional training for reservists, accumulating reservists with relevant military registration expertise. Furthermore, it is essential that we have combat-ready units in the armed forces, staffed with highly trained and combat-prepared reservists,” the Ministry of Defense stated in the proposal.

The ministry added that military training exercises are being conducted in the military units for reservists to practice and improve their military skills, and the troops are gradually being reinforced with better-prepared reservists who possess the necessary military registration expertise. In the coming years, new units and new reserves will be included in the military exercises.
