Sergey Bagratyan Has the Status of a Witness, Interrogated in a Criminal Case

Member of the National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction, Sergey Bagratyan, submitted a request to the Speaker of the National Assembly yesterday regarding his departure from the faction. The Prosperous Armenia Party announced that they have no information regarding his decision.

However, according to Tert.am's sources, the deputy's decision is related to a criminal case involving his close associate, in which he holds a procedural status.

The media has sought clarification from the Public Relations Department of the RA Prosecutor General's Office regarding the criminal case and Bagratyan's procedural status. They stated, “Sergey Bagratyan has been interrogated in the criminal case in the status of a witness. We do not provide additional information based on the principle of confidentiality of pre-investigation data.”
