Armenian Embassy in Russia on Actions of Azerbaijanis Attacking Armenians in Moscow

In recent days, we have continued to record the attempts of the Azerbaijani side to transfer the tensions caused by the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to the territory of the Russian Federation and to create conflict between the communities of the two peoples. This is stated in a statement from the Armenian Embassy in Russia.

"In particular, these manifestations occur in trade and economic platforms in Moscow and other Russian cities that are somehow connected to the authorities of Azerbaijan. The events of last night, which were accompanied by numerous provocations, as well as attacks on Armenians, unfortunately, once again demonstrate the deliberate nature of the actions of the Azerbaijani side. The aim of these provocations is to disturb the foundations of inter-ethnic harmony in Russia, contribute to the rise of tensions in a multi-ethnic society, and create precedents for conflict situations in the country.

The embassy, the Union of Armenians in Russia, and other organizations have reported the events of last night, as well as other attempts at provocations, to the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation.

We believe that immediate measures must be taken to regulate the situation to avoid further developments. All economic operators located in Russia, regardless of nationality and citizenship, must comply with the laws of the Russian Federation.
