After the Army, the Second Place for Funding Should Be Lake Sevan: Sanosyan
Unfortunately, we have had a process of greening Sevan for the last 3 years. This was stated today, July 24, by Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan during a meeting held on the shores of Lake Sevan in the Shorja community.
“This process has always been present, but the scales and seasonality have been different, mainly occurring in September and in very small volumes,” Sanosyan said.
According to the governor, efforts are being made to combat the greening of the lake, but they seem insufficient. “I admit that our efforts do not seem sufficient concerning the cleaned areas, the cleaning stations on rivers, and the installation of cleaning stations in objects along the shores, although some work has been done, the progress is slow due to various objective and subjective reasons. I’ve said it once and I will say it again, the second place that funding should be allocated to after the army is Lake Sevan. I believe our government and colleagues are very well aware of this; I have said this many times, and serious work is currently underway in this direction,” he added.
