VIDEO: Greta Thunberg Awarded the Gulbenkian Foundation's Humanitarian Prize

The Gulbenkian Foundation in Portugal has awarded the inaugural Humanitarian Prize to 17-year-old Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg. She was recognized for her "tenacious fight" for environmental preservation and her ability to engage young people in that struggle.

The prize amounts to nearly one million euros. Thunberg has announced that she will donate the entire amount to organizations and projects focused on environmental protection. "This is more money than I can imagine, but I will donate all of it through my foundation to various organizations and projects that assist those affected by the climate crisis," stated Thunberg.
