Azerbaijan Suffers Around $200 Million Loss Due to UAV Losses in Tavush
During the military operations in Tavush last week, the Azerbaijani side reportedly suffered a loss of around $200 million due to the loss of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This is a preliminary estimate from the Armenian side.
The Air Defense Forces of Armenia shot down 13 Azerbaijani UAVs near the Tavush border, with another one being shot down in the northeastern region of Artsakh, stated Garik Movsisyan, the head of the Air Defense Forces’ Headquarters, during a meeting with reporters today.
“Mainly, all the UAVs were shot down in the defense zone of the third army corps, with the exception of one unit that was brought in and displayed; it was shot down by the defenses of the Artsakh Defense Army in the morning of July 17,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Defense representative, four of the downed Azerbaijani UAVs were reconnaissance drones, while ten were strike drones.
