Hope for a Rapid Resolution to the Situation and Normalization of Sentiments, Peskov
The Russian Federation hopes that the situation at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be resolved as quickly as possible, allowing the emotional backdrop surrounding this conflict to return to a state of normalcy. This was stated on Monday by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, while commenting on reports regarding the impact of this conflict on trade in Moscow, as reported by TASS.
The Kremlin representative added that both Armenians and Azerbaijanis who hold Russian citizenship are respected members of Russian society. However, it is evident that the escalation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border cannot leave these [Russian] citizens indifferent.
“We hope that the situation will be resolved as quickly as possible, and thus the emotional backdrop will return to a normal state,” emphasized Peskov.
