Shooting Incidents Reported in Gegharkunik and Nakhichevan Regions, Says Arzhrun Hovhannisyan
Yesterday and during the night, approximately 120 shots were fired by the opposing side along the entire border of the Republic of Armenia. These violations occurred throughout the border area. This was stated by Arzhrun Hovhannisyan, a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, during a recent press briefing.
“The majority of firearms used were small arms, including large caliber weapons. No artillery or larger caliber weapons were employed. The shots were fired not only in the main combat areas of Tavush but also along the entire Tavush region, including the Noyemberyan direction. There were also shots fired in the Gegharkunik region and the Nakhichevan area,” Hovhannisyan reported.
Regarding the situation in Artsakh, Hovhannisyan stated that firearms were also used in Artsakh, including large caliber machine guns, but there is currently no heightened tension.
