Putin Discusses Armenian-Azerbaijani Border Situation and Mediation Efforts at Russia's Security Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin and permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation have discussed the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, noting that Moscow is prepared to engage in mediation efforts. According to "Armenpress," citing "RIA Novosti," this was stated by Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“There was a detailed exchange of views regarding the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. There is serious concern about the ongoing escalation, and the urgent need for the parties to establish a ceasefire was emphasized, as well as a willingness for mediation,” Peskov said.
