Attempted Murder of Relative of Suspect in Shooting of 27-Year-Old

On July 14, there is a suspect in the shooting incident that occurred in the Sari Tagh district of Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, the suspect is 39-year-old Mher Farsyan, who is accused of inflicting gunshot wounds on 27-year-old Samvel Hovhannisyan, a resident of Sari Tagh, on July 14.

According to sources, a month earlier, there was an attempted murder in Sari Tagh involving a relative of Farsyan, and he was arrested by the police for another crime but was released by the court.

Police and the investigative department are taking necessary operational and investigative joint actions to locate Farsyan and the firearm used in the crime.

It should be noted that gunshots were reported in Yerevan on July 14. Around 23:15, the Erebuni Medical Center notified the Erebuni police department that a citizen had been transported to them with gunshot wounds.

Police determined that the injured individual was 27-year-old Samvel Hovhannisyan, a resident of 26th Street in Sari Tagh. According to doctors, he was in extremely serious condition and was unable to provide an explanation for what had happened.

Law enforcement also established that the victim had been transported from in front of buildings 26 and 13 on 26th Street in Sari Tagh. Upon arriving at the crime scene, police discovered 2 spent cartridges from an automatic weapon, numerous blood-like traces, and a BMW X5 vehicle.

Earlier, it was reported that a shooting occurred in Yerevan on May 1. Around 13:00, a citizen with a gunshot wound to the right leg was transported to the “Erebuni” hospital. Police had established that the victim was 33-year-old Artashes Farsyan, who had been transported from Sari Tagh. While doctors were providing medical assistance, police found that he had been transported from 28th Street in Sari Tagh.
