Turkey's Foreign Ministry Responds to Armenia's Foreign Ministry

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to a statement on the Turkish MFA website, the Armenian authorities 'must sober up and return to being part of solutions in the South Caucasus, rather than a source of problems.'

The Turkish MFA also noted that 'Armenia is conducting a smear campaign against Turkey to cover up its aggressive actions against Azerbaijan.'

There is an impression from the Turkish side that Armenia is promoting unilateral historical narratives to 'justify its aggression.' The Turkish side has also accused Armenia of 'obstructing stability and peace in the South Caucasus.'
