“The U.S. is deeply concerned about the deadly violence that has occurred along the international border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We extend our condolences to the families of all the victims and urge the parties to immediately begin de-escalation, resume substantive dialogue, and maintain the ceasefire to start negotiations under the co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group,” Pompeo stated.
