Accident on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway Involves Mercedes and Kia, Leaving 6 Injured
On July 13, at 16:44, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting an accident on the 58th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, with casualties involved.
A rapid response team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a collision occurred between a Mercedes (driver: Arthur N., born in 1979) and a Kia (driver: Arthur H., born in 1994), resulting in the Kia overturning.
Prior to the rescuers' arrival, the drivers and passengers of the Mercedes—Anahit G. (born in 1990), Susanna H. (born in 2011), Lilit H. (born in 2014), and Hakob H. (born in 2019)—were hospitalized at Talin Medical Center with various degrees of injuries. Medical personnel reported that their health conditions were assessed as satisfactory.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicles' batteries and closed the gas cylinder valves.
