VIDEO: Police Prevent Narek Malyan from Holding a Motorcade and Detain Him

Police have detained Narek Malyan, the leader of the VETO civic-political initiative. This was reported by Malyan on his Facebook page.

Recall that the day before, Narek Malyan had mentioned in a live broadcast on Facebook that they had decided to organize a motorcade to Khor Virap.

Today, Narek Malyan made several posts on his Facebook page stating, “Our ‘fearless’ authorities have concentrated about 500 police officers in the village of Lusarat next to Khor Virap,” and “I am in the Artashat division. I am writing from the workplace of the senior specialist of the crocodile farm in the Ararat region.”

It should be noted that the day before, Malyan had addressed the motorcade, saying, “We decided to start the action from the very place where Gregory the Illuminator brought Christianity and spread it across the country. In Armenia, it is not the actions that are forbidden, but the gatherings.”
