Major Car Accident in Aragatsotn Province: 2 of the 4 Injured Are Children
Today, on July 13, a major car accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province. According to Shamshyan.com, around 17:00, a head-on collision took place between Mercedes and Kia vehicles on the 59 km stretch of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. As a result of the collision, the Kia crashed into concrete barriers and flipped over.
Four individuals, including two children, sustained injuries and were transported to the Talin Medical Center. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that citizens were the first to help the injured, and the doctors from Talin Hospital responded promptly, providing first aid before the victims were taken to the hospital. Traffic police personnel escorted the injured to the medical facility.
The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured. According to the website, accidents frequently occur in that area, as evidenced by the numerous concrete barriers that have fallen into the ravine. Previously, traffic control signs were installed in that section, but they are now completely absent due to damage from prior accidents.
