Conflict May Escalate into Major Clashes, Says Azerbaijani Ambassador in Russia
The Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, commented on the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in an interview with govoritmoskva, stating that "this conflict may escalate into major clashes." He deemed it quite possible for the region to witness extensive military operations.
“The escalation of the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is not new or sensational. It does not matter who started it first. What matters is that this issue needs a resolution. We are ready to negotiate, but only to achieve concrete results. Because as long as negotiations yield no outcomes, such clashes can frequently occur, potentially escalating into widespread military operations,” said Ambassador Bulbuloglu.
The ambassador emphasized that Baku will not allow the establishment of a "second Armenian state in the South Caucasus." It is worth recalling that since July 12, Azerbaijani forces have been conducting provocative actions in the Tavush direction.
