Video: 'Vstrechi' Suspect Taken to Criminal Police Main Department

The special unit of the Criminal Police Main Department, in cooperation with investigators from the Investigative Committee, apprehended 49-year-old Aram Vardanyan in one of the residences on Artsakh Street in Yerevan during operational activities early on July 12.

Vardanyan had been wanted since March 8 by the Erebuni division of the police on charges of attempted murder, robbery, and complicity in kidnapping, among other offenses as stipulated in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, with the measure of restraint set to pre-trial detention.

Aram Vardanyan has been moved to a correctional facility. Operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
