Stepantsminda-Lars Road Open Only for Trucks

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the roads within the Republic of Armenia are accessible. Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, due to the state of emergency, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is only open for freight transport.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit entry into Georgia for foreigners remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transportation.
