Two Men Attempt Suicide from Different Sections of Victory Bridge, One Rescued, Negotiations Ongoing for the Other

Today, on July 11, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, two individuals, each at different parts of the "Victory" bridge, crossed the dangerous edge of the bridge and threatened to jump off, attempting suicide.

The photographer reports that one of the individuals attempting to take their life was rescued, with significant involvement from singer Sofi Mkheyan's brother, as well as a male employee from "Alpha," firefighters, and a rescue psychologist. They managed to save the man just in time, as he slipped and was literally caught in mid-air as he fell.

Rapid response teams from Yerevan's emergency medical services arrived on the scene promptly and provided first aid to the saved individual before transporting him to the hospital.

Currently, police, rescuers, and doctors, along with the rescue psychologist, are negotiating with the other individual attempting suicide to prevent him from taking that extreme step.
