Tragic Car Accident in Tavush: 38-Year-Old Driver Rolls Over Several Times in Forest Near Haghartsin Village, Dies at Scene

A tragic car accident occurred in the Tavush region today, July 9. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 21:00, 38-year-old Armen Tamamyan, a resident of Haghartsin village, rolled over several times in his UAZ 31 512 vehicle in an area adjacent to the forest near Haghartsin village under still unidentified circumstances.

As a result of the accident, A. Tamamyan died at the scene. Traffic police rapidly arrived at the site, and the information was passed to the Tavush regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, where an investigative group was dispatched. A criminal case has been initiated under the second part of Article 242 of the Armenian Criminal Code. By the investigator’s directive, the vehicle has been moved to the special protected area of the Dilijan Police Department.
