Operational and Investigative Measures: Gun and Drugs Discovered

Within the framework of initiated criminal cases, operational and investigative measures conducted by the Criminal Police Main Department, Gegharkunik Regional Department, Sevan Division, and road police serving the region have led to information regarding two men residing in Sevan, who are allegedly in possession of illegal weapons and drugs.

This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia: "On July 7, not only were they located, but also, by court order, searches were carried out in their private homes and auxiliary structures. During a search of the home of a 41-year-old man, more than 34 grams of a substance resembling marijuana, as well as dried cannabis stems and dried poppy heads, totaling more than 75 grams, were found. In the search of a 49-year-old man's vehicle, a factory-numberless handgun was discovered, loaded with eight bullets, along with various pills. The found items have been seized. Forensic and chemical examinations have been appointed. Operational and investigative actions are ongoing," the statement said.
