Major and Tragic Car Accident in Armavir Province: 2 Dead, 1 Injured

Today, on July 8, around 05:00, a major tragic car accident occurred in Armavir Province. On the 6th kilometer of the Etchmiadzin-Margar road, in the administrative territory of Griboyedov village, two vehicles collided: a Mercedes, driven by 57-year-old Arthur Harutyunyan, and a VAZ 2106, driven by 40-year-old Razmik Galstyan.

According to reports from the scene by Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, the Mercedes veered into the opposite lane, flipping multiple times and landing upside down in a ravine. As a result of the accident, the driver of the Mercedes, R. Galstyan, and a passenger, 55-year-old Armenuhi Gevorgyan, a resident of Armavir Province, were killed, while another passenger, 54-year-old Sofik Galstyan, was taken to the Vagarshapat Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency response teams from the Armavir Province Rescue Service quickly arrived at the scene, with one firefighting unit deployed.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Following the investigator's instructions, the vehicles have been moved to the special storage area of the Vagarshapat Police Department.
