According to Armlur.am, an incident occurred on June 30, 2020, near building 149 on Andranik Street in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, during which gunshots were fired. The altercation involved 21-year-old Edgar Arakelyan, a resident of Andranik Street in Yerevan, and 23-year-old Sargis Avetisyan, a resident of Isakov Avenue, known as the son of Neptune's Hamik, who has frequently found himself at the center of conflicts in Bangladesh and has managed to escape unharmed each time.

What sparked the argument? Around 3:30 PM, Sargis Avetisyan and Edgar Arakelyan argued in the yard of the mentioned building. During the confrontation, S. Avetisyan hit Edgar Arakelyan multiple times on the head with a blunt object resembling a baton, leaving him helpless, and fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle. It was also revealed that Edgar Arakelyan fired shots from his pistol at the vehicle as it was fleeing. However, this incident does not end here, and the situation is likely to develop further.

Specifically, from information we have received, a service investigation has been initiated at the police station concerning the shots fired in Malatia.

Why? Following the gunfire in Malatia, when law enforcement arrested Sargis Avetisyan, the son of Neptune's Hamik, two police operatives attempted to transport him to the holding facility in KPV. An unexpected event occurred: According to our information, the police vehicle stopped, and Neptune's Hamik approached to speak with his son for about 15 minutes.

Armenian Chief of Police Vahe Ghazaryan learned about this situation and initiated a service investigation concerning the gross violations made by the police operatives, particularly regarding the stopping of the vehicle and allowing the arrested young man to meet with his father. According to legal provisions, the operatives did not have the right to stop a vehicle transporting an arrested person, nor could Neptune's Hamik approach and speak with him.

Moreover, from information received from the law enforcement system, it appears that the order to stop the police vehicle transporting the son of Neptune's Hamik was issued by the deputy head of the operational division of the Malatia police. The inquiry will reveal who did what and why. One fact remains: the authorities of the two police operatives are currently suspended, and an official investigation into the incident has been initiated.
