“I respect the cleaners, I walk barefoot,” the country's leader commented on his appearance while exiting the elevator to meet with journalists.

These images were captured in Sochi, following a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to journalist Alexey Krivosheyev, both he and the Belarusian president were without shoes for the entire interview.
