Active Investigations Ongoing in the Case of Haik Harutyunyan's Death

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "The 'Zhoghovurd' daily continues its journalistic investigation into the suicide case of former Police Chief of Armenia, Haik Harutyunyan, who was a witness in the March 1 case. In particular, according to information we have received, there are quite active operations being conducted in the criminal case, and this activity is not accidental.

Specifically, it has come to our attention that Haik Harutyunyan's suicide case has drawn significant interest from his nephew, who has submitted various requests to the law enforcement agencies to investigate various theories surrounding the case. His nephew, having reviewed the case, has observed that some theories have not been examined by the law enforcement officials, and he is urging them to investigate these aspects. Law enforcement has no choice but to respond to his requests and consider the proposed theories as subjects of investigation.

We had also reported that former Deputy Police Chief and Lieutenant General Ararat Mahtesyanu has been interrogated in connection with Haik Harutyunyan's suicide case, where he is a suspect in the March 1 case. It is also noteworthy that posthumous examinations have been assigned in this case, but the conclusions of these examinations are still pending."
