Second Request to Arrest Mikayel Minasian Rejected: Defense Attorney
The second request to arrest Mikayel Minasian, the former ambassador of Armenia to the Holy See, has been rejected. This information was shared on Facebook by one of Minasian's defense attorneys, Amram Makinyan.
He specifically stated: "The request to arrest Mikayel Minasian, the former ambassador of Armenia to the Holy See, has been rejected for the second time. We will have the opportunity to discuss this request further. I can only say that it was more illegal and unfounded than the previous request.
Are we expecting new requests to arrest Mikayel Minasian? I am confident that we are. Will they be more illegal and unfounded than the previous requests? I have no doubt about that either.
Will the public television station, which prepares videos regarding Mikayel Minasian in collaboration with the investigative authorities, and the Radio Liberty station, cover the rejection of the request to arrest Minasian based on its being unfounded and illegal for the second consecutive time? The answer is regrettably obvious."
