Ennio Morricone Has Died
Ennio Morricone, the renowned Italian composer, arranger, and conductor, has passed away at the age of 91. He was best known for his work on the soundtrack of the film 'The Godfather.' Morricone died in one of the clinics in Rome where he had been taken after a fall.
As reported by la Repubblica, Morricone was nominated for the 'Oscar' five times and won the award in 2007 for his contributions to the cinematic arts. In 1987, he received both the 'Golden Globe' and 'Grammy' awards for the music of the film 'The Untouchables.'
His music featured in films such as 'A Fistful of Dollars,' 'For a Few Dollars More,' 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,' 'Once Upon a Time in the West,' 'Once Upon a Time in America,' 'Mission,' 'Malèna,' 'The Decameron,' 'Bugsy,' 'The Professional,' 'Cinema Paradiso,' 'The Legend of 1900,' and the TV series 'The Sea Monster.'
