Large Fire in Yerevan: Two Firefighting Units Deployed to the Scene
On July 4, at 20:33, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting that a fire had broken out on the roof of one of the houses on Koghbi Street 2nd in Yerevan. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service.
Two firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the roofs of two adjacent houses were on fire.
A fire classification of "1-BIS" was announced, and two additional firefighting units along with an operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization of the rescue service also arrived at the scene.
The fire was contained at 21:06 and extinguished by 21:29. The wooden structural elements of the roofs of the first house (100 sq.m) and the second house (60 sq.m) were damaged (respectively 70 sq.m and 30 sq.m). Firefighters prevented the spread of the fire to nearby houses.
