Pedestrian Accident in Kotayk Region: Driver Did Not Flee the Scene

Today, on July 2, a pedestrian accident occurred in the Kotayk region. According to Shamshyan.com, around 11:30 AM, 62-year-old Levon H., a resident of Abovyan, struck 63-year-old Smbat H., a resident of Nor Geghi village, with his GAZelle vehicle, which services the number 1 route in Abovyan, on the Republic Street of Abovyan.

The driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured pedestrian to the Abovyan Medical Center. Officers from the 1st platoon of the 3rd battalion of the 2nd police division arrived at the scene, led by battalion commander Arthur Petrosyan and platoon commander Tigran Kotanjyan.

The senior investigator of the same platoon, Avetik Avetisyan, is leading the investigative actions at the site, where materials regarding the incident are being prepared. According to reports from the photojournalist, the pedestrian’s life is not in danger.
