My Parents Overcame This Year's Evil: COVID-19 - Gayane Abrahamyan
Gayane Abrahamyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, announced that her parents have overcome COVID-19. She shared this on her Facebook page.
“My parents conquered this year's evil, COVID-19; both have already been discharged from the hospital and are in self-isolation. They managed to overcome it thanks to our miraculous and incredible doctors, through precise and targeted treatment, even though their recovery seemed unbelievable, as both had multiple chronic illnesses. My father had suffered three strokes, had diabetes, and cardiovascular issues, while my mother had serious problems with her thyroid gland. However, as a result of timely and proper treatment, they are now healed; there was no need for any intensive care,” she wrote.
“The dedication, professionalism, attention, and care that they received at the National Burn Center and St. Gregory the Illuminator Hospital, which they claimed they had never witnessed before, despite their previous unpleasant experiences in hospitals, were remarkable. These difficult days make it impossible to imagine the volume and intensity of work of doctors and all healthcare staff, the level of danger and selflessness. Yet, in this situation, they not only work professionally but also continue to be caring and warm. I do not even know how to express my gratitude to all the doctors and the entire staff managing the hospitals during this challenging period—these heroes of our days, even if not all of them can be named, but we must recognize them by name. Our entire family is grateful and bows before you!”
