The news has caused quite a stir in Ejmiatsin, as the daughter of the former head of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union did not marry in a traditional manner but rather 'eloped' and is currently living with her husband.

It is said that Grigoryan is struggling to come to terms with this fact and is refusing to give his paternal blessing.
