Law Enforcement System in a Difficult Situation: How to Handle the Application from Three Forces – "Jhoghovurd"

"Jhoghovurd" newspaper reports: "The day before yesterday, the ARF, BHK, and "Homeland" parties submitted a report to the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia demanding the initiation of a criminal case regarding particularly serious crimes allegedly committed with the complicity of representatives of the legislative authority and other high-ranking officials in connection with the adoption of constitutional amendments in the parliament.

"Jhoghovurd" tried to find out from the Prosecutor General's Office what the next steps would be regarding the application submitted by the opposition forces. Gor Abrahamyan, the advisor to the Prosecutor General, stated: "The application is under discussion." However, it seems that the situation is not so calm among law enforcement officials following the application: according to information from the newspaper, intense discussions are taking place within the law enforcement system, and specialists are divided on how to proceed.

While Abrahamyan did not provide us with further details, the information from "Jhoghovurd" suggests that today, most likely, there will be clarity on the fate of the application submitted by the three forces. There is a discussion within the law enforcement system about the possibility that the Prosecutor's Office will send the application from the three forces to one of the preliminary investigation bodies, perhaps with the prospect of rejection.
