Anna Jamkocyan Appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs
According to the decision No. 764-A of the Prime Minister of Armenia dated July 2, 2020, Anna Jamkocyan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
"Guided by Part 1 of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Public Service, Anna Jamkocyan is appointed as Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs," stated the text of the decision by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Biography
Anna Jamkocyan was born in 1981. From 1998 to 2004, she studied sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sociology, and Psychology at Yerevan State University. From 2012 to 2014, she studied at the Institute of Contemporary Art, where she became an art critic.
From 2012 to 2016, she was a PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Sociology at Yerevan State University. Since 2019, she has been studying in the Translation Certification Program at the American University of Armenia.
Since 2008, she has been a co-founder, co-chair, and researcher at the "Socioscope" NGO. From 2018 to 2020, she served as the president of the same NGO. From 2009 to 2016, she worked as a researcher and head of the Information Research Center at the Noravank Educational Foundation.
Since 2014, she has been teaching at the Faculty of Sociology of Yerevan State University. She is the author of numerous research and educational projects. She is fluent in English and Russian.
