Several Gas Stations and Construction Stores Suspended for 24 Hours by Armenian Authorities

Today, on July 1, the Armenian Market Surveillance Inspection Body conducted inspections in the Erebuni administrative district of Yerevan regarding compliance with anti-epidemic safety regulations set by the government. Several violations were identified in gas stations and construction material retail locations.

The businesses that were found to have violated regulations were lacking the required information notices regarding mandatory mask-wearing, thermometers, and temperature logging records. During follow-up inspections in the Erebuni district, no violations were found at previously non-compliant businesses.

Reports are being prepared regarding the identified violations, which will be submitted to the government authorities. The inspection body also implemented suspensions in the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan. By the order of the authorities, the operation of several construction material stores and gas stations has been halted for 24 hours.

The main violations recorded in these locations are the absence of specially designated trash bins for masks and gloves, as well as the lack of thermometers and temperature logging records.

The process of constant monitoring by the inspection body of compliance with anti-epidemic safety regulations is ongoing across Armenia. The inspection body reminds that, according to the government's Order No. 63 of May 3, it continues to conduct constant monitoring in shopping centers, fairs, construction stores, and retail sites for liquid fuels, compressed natural or liquefied petroleum gases.
