Illegal Extraction of 'Kuri Kogak' Fish from the Aqueduct of Shenk Village

The investigation of a criminal case concerning the illegal extraction of fish using methods of mass destruction has been completed at the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The investigation revealed that on May 14, 2020, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a 33-year-old resident of Karakert village in the Armavir region, having reached a preliminary agreement with a 37-year-old fellow villager, illegally extracted 'Kuri Kogak' fish from an aqueduct located in the administrative territory of Shenk village using electricity as a method of mass destruction, causing significant damage to wildlife.

Based on the sufficient combination of evidence gathered, charges were brought against the 33-year-old and 37-year-old villagers under the second part of Article 292 of the RA Criminal Code (illegal extraction of aquatic animals and plants).

As a measure of restraint, they were subjected to a signature not to leave. The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
