The First Batch of Medications for Hepatitis C Treatment Has Arrived in Armenia, Torosyan
The first batch of medications purchased with state budget funds as part of the national Hepatitis C treatment program (for 500 individuals) has already arrived in Armenia. It was supposed to be delivered at the beginning of spring, however, the delivery of drugs was delayed due to restrictions on air transportation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This information was provided by Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
“As part of the program, citizens of Armenia suffering from Hepatitis C will receive treatment in turn, according to the order of their registration and medical indications. This year, medications will also be acquired for another 1,000 individuals. The program aims for the complete eradication of this infectious disease. Additional information will be provided for further details,” the minister wrote on his Facebook page.
