Major Accident: Doctors Who Provided Assistance to Coronavirus Patients for Months Are in the Hospital

Today, on June 30, a traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:40 PM, on Isakovy Avenue, in front of the Police Educational Complex, the driver of a Volkswagen collided with a parked Mercedes ML 350.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, three individuals were transported to Number 1 University Hospital with bodily injuries. Citizens were the first to provide assistance to the injured, and they were transported to the hospital by the duty group of ambulance doctors.

The photographer reports that the cause of the accident was another vehicle that not only created an emergency situation for the Volkswagen driver but also hit the left rear side of the Volkswagen. After this impact, the Volkswagen driver, unable to control the car, moved forward and collided with the Mercedes, while the driver who caused the emergency situation fled the scene.

The police are identifying the drivers and the injured, as well as taking necessary measures to locate the fleeing driver and his vehicle, who created the emergency situation.

It is noted that the driver of the Volkswagen and his two passengers are doctors. The driver was on the front lines during the April War, in the hottest spots, and after being discharged from service, he has been working as a doctor, saving numerous lives along with his two doctor passengers. They were also providing medical assistance to coronavirus patients during these days.
