Overloaded Transport Vehicles Detected in Nor Norq
In order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Armenian government's decree No. 110, on June 29, specialists in transport safety from the State Urban Development, Technical, and Fire Safety Inspection conducted their regular monitoring activities in cooperation with the Police of Armenia in the Nor Norq administrative district, focusing on the operation of public transport.
During the inspection, several overloaded transport vehicles were identified, particularly those transporting standing passengers, as well as incidents of transporting more passengers than seating capacity permits. Additionally, in the case of passenger taxis, drivers were found operating without face masks.
Based on these violations, relevant administrative reports were issued. Preventative measures were implemented on-site, and awareness and explanatory work was conducted with drivers and passengers, providing instructions to strictly adhere to the safety rules established by the government decree.
In the regions and in Yerevan, inspectors are conducting daily monitoring in cooperation with the Road Police, focusing on ensuring the safe operation of public transport.
